How long does the canopy tour take?

The tour averages 2 1/2 hours, but we recommend you plan to spend 3 hours on-site.

Is there a weight restriction?

Is there an age restriction?

We require that our guests must be at least 10 years old to join the adult tour. A parent or legal guardian must be present for guests under the age of 18.

Who can sign a waiver for a minor?

Anyone under 18 years old must have the signature of a Parent or Court Appointed Legal Guardian. Grandparents, the parents of friends, sisters or brothers, etc. cannot sign for a child unless they have been given Legal Guardianship by the court system.

What if Mom or Dad or Legal Guardian is not coming?

A minor can bring their waiver with them signed by their parent or legal guardian. The waiver can be emailed to the General Manager (call to get the email address). However, please make sure the phone number is accurate because our staff will call the parents for verification.

Guests must be in reasonably good physical condition to actively participate on the tour. Those participating must be able to hold both hands over their head in order to self-regulate speed and braking.

Are reservations required?

We do not require reservations, however we strongly recommend them. Walk-ins are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations will be given priority.

What do I wear?

We recommend that you dress in layers. An outdoor adventure comes with the unpredictability of weather. Bring layers so that you can be comfortable in our constantly changing environment. Keep in mind, our full-body harness will wrap around your upper thigh, shoulders and waist. Close-toed shoes are required and all long hair must be tied back.

What can I bring?

You don’t need anything to distract you from all of the sights. A photographer accompanies each tour. We ask that you leave your jewelry, other valuables, camera and cell phone locked in your car. If you’re wearing glasses, we recommend a strap to keep them in place. Sky Valley is not responsible for, nor can we recover items dropped from the course.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

We operate rain or shine. You may get a little wet, but you’ll still have fun. Threats of lightening or high wind will cause cancellation or shortening of your trip. Also note that we have a 45-minute weather delay policy and no cancellations will take place until our management makes an official decision.
